Correct - I'm going to make sure his crops get no water this season.

I can't believe the odds against this turn of events. And the Indian and the Shaman - classic!
With such unlikely things happening to you, perhaps you should buy a lottery ticket on your way home. As you ride with extreme caution in expectation of crash number 3.
PS - do we get upgraded crash and injury pics?

Haha

I'll post some extra damage shots tonight

At least I have photographic record of the deterioration of my bike over time. Still gotta do the damn ride report lol
Yeah... really looking forward to the next one, hehe
Just a question - what do I do now? I'm not 100% sure on who to contact... I'm going to go and get a couple of quotes on the damage repair costs and then I assume I contact my insurance company and give them details about the collision (along with police report number etc) and they then contact the Indian's insurer and work out everything betweeen them. At this point, I guess they come back to me with their approved repairer and I take the bike down to get fixed, right?
I've never needed to do this before, so any help on what to do here would be good.

Ring your insurance
Tell them you've had an accident
Chief Running Bikeover is at fault
Ask them if they want the bike taken anywhere, if not nominate your repairer, get a claim number, take the bike to the repairers, give them the company and claim number
i believe

Hang on - will that cost me money? Will I have a claim against my name as a result? He had 3rd party property on his car - that should cover it, right?
Tue Feb 21, 2006 11:37 am
you'll be fine
Your insurance company (if you have full comp) will deal with his insurance company, to get the money out of them...
You shouldnt pay for a cent.
except for maybe a trip on the bus after dropping the bike off

Awesome - thanks for the advice - everything's underway now and an assessor wil be coming out soon to check out the bike and we work ou the claims details from there.
Reckon I could say all the paint was scratched off the hugger in the collision to get that painted at the same time?
Tue Feb 21, 2006 1:12 pm
The paint WAS scratched off it from the accident wasnt it ?

Logan,
make sure where ever you take supplies you a loan bike, you may not need it but I bet your insurance covers it. If not get your company to oragise a hire car while the bikes out of action and charge his company!!
