I've talked to people who have them and think they're great.. It's on my list of *one day* purchases :)

sure would have come in handy the other week when i ended up with twigs and empty cigarette packets trying to keep the bike upright..

but what a good link anyway.. heaps of useful stuff on the site :)

I keep a scrap bit of wood on the bike for the same purpose.
Cost me nothing.

$15, that's half a slab  That would hold 15 bikes up for ever, they come in green (mmmmmmmm VB) and fit neatly under the seat too. Also available in a variety of colours and flavours, and non alcoholic types should you be caught without one on a ride.

Something wrong with a crushed aluminium can or jar lid?

Its recycling after all... and that's gotta be good for the environment :P

NO

Tis a great idea although I remember a mate had a Ducati one....he only got to use it once b4 it was knocked off. Anything is a good idea. Especially in this heat where bitumen can become very soft. I personally carry a scrap metal plate under the seat, but cans, bark etc can also do the job for parking on grass, med etc. My only concern is that someone will like it more than you, and "borrow" it. I wonder if they make a "centre stand" version as well...hehe
