Finally admitting I am no longer 21 n bulletproof!

Postby Strika » Thu Jan 12, 2006 8:19 pm

Well ladies and gentlemen it is indeed a sad day when you have to start admitting that you are no longer 10 foot tall and bullet proof. The last 15 years or so of road racing and then dirt bikes, as well as some earlier indescretions with cars as a youth, are finally taking there toll on my body.

I recently did a 850klm day in the saddle of the 636, after two previous 650+klm days, and barely walked for two days, and then barely moved after that for a week. Admitedly we were on some of what is perhaps the worst roads that NSW could offer me, but meh, it's a ride.

Anyhow, I am starting to think that maybe I should look at something a little more comfy.............................................................................What are ZX10's like??????????

Or maybe a Z1000 or I dunno????? your thoughts would be welcomed. :)

I'll just hum a D flat.......( its a serious note.... )

big ZZR would be *great*, but probably a bit ponderous, given your love for sportsbikes......a ZRX is very comfy, fast enough, goes around corners, and should be given at least *some* consideration I reckon.....

Good luck mate, try and ride as *many* as you possibly can before committing........

the zrx is comfy, I highly recommend one.

I was in the same boat as you, I owned an 04 blade, after a series of kwackas, for 6 months. worst six months of my life. Couldn't wait to get home , even cut rides short to get home quicker.

There is one problem though, when everyone else is tired and wants to go home, you still want to ride, and there is no-one to do one last crack with.

Mick C tours on his "crim" & I found in pretty comfy at 5'4". I think you could make the z750 & zThou both livable. with some mods.
Cheers Brett.
