A question about my bike

Mon Jan 09, 2006 6:36 pm

OK, I went to put key in keyhole (as you do) to get into storage compartment under back seat. The whole thing is loose. Has anyone else had this problem, is it simple to fix?

Thank you,

Mate i dont know much about how your bike is set up ,but around the key thingy there will be either some safety allenkey headed bolts/screws that you`ll need to tighten up.I guess if they keep coming loose just put a few drops of loctite on them

If its like a g/j 6r there are 2 screws that hold the lock on insde the tail.

Yeah, it appears like that. i am not mechanically minded, bottom screw appears to have come out.

Mine did that... just tightened all the screws/bolts on the inside.

that's me, the mechanical "Master" I also have a selection of 3 different loctites, "yes, there are ones for different tasks" Now if I could only read the fine print directions on the little red bottles :?
