Looking for BETTER manual for zxr250a

Postby NinjaBaby » Sat Dec 31, 2005 12:54 am

Hi All,

I posted a related reply to a topic in general discussion but thought it probably belongs here ...

I am looking for a workshop/service manual for a zxr250a 1989 model that is better than the really crappy crooked scanned one with the http://www.japi.com.ar watermark and the illegible diagrams that look like they were photocopied on a 1960 vintage xerox machine ... it pretty much sucks especially since I have a zxr250a and the wiring diags etc. are wrong

Of course it is better than nothing but I am desperately trying to get a better one, and would pay up to $100 for a real one if I could find it! ... anyone one got anything better than the one descrbed above?

Thanks in advance!

best place to find a hard-copy of one is on e-bay, either the Oz version or the US version.......I have recently picked up a whole swag of manuals (Clymer, Haynes, Cycleserve for the Yammies, Honda's and Suzies), and a stack of dinkum factory manuals for a lot of Kawasaki's ( all pre-'85).

Its a great place to hunt stuff like this down. Good luck.

mate, that link is only for parts books, a bit like exploded views of microfiche - these are *great* if you need a part number......but not much chop if you want to replace fork oil......

For an actual 'manual' like a Haynes ( or if you can find one, a proper 'factory' manual), then check out e-bay, under 'Motorcycle Manuals' - just type this in the search function, and it will do the rest for you.

Ninja 250R is what the Merkins call the GPX250.

To repeat what I said in the other thread which deals with this, there's nothing wrong with that scanned pdf version of the manual. I've used it. It's as helpful or as useless as all the other Kawasaki factory workshop manuals in my collection.

Ninjababy - here is *exactly* what you are looking for, on cd.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/kawasaki-zxr250A ... dZViewItem

this auction closes on Wednesday 4th January at 10.53am - mate it will cost you $10 plus postage !! It is also for your bike, not a GPX 250 or ZZR250....... :?

cheers

I haven't seen the contents of *that* exact cd, but you can always ask the seller a question about the item without bidding.

Its probably worth your while, not all *cd* manuals are created the same........this is why i prefer a hard-copy Factory manual in the first instance, or Clymer / Haynes / Cycleserve if you can't get factory.

i reckon it's only the scanned copy as, it was in my question if the CD contains the scanned copy of the manual floating around the internet, that can see properly. :D

Hey jeff_villa, can you let us know if it is the same copy as the one I described in my original post? With a bit of luck it has been scanned from a better original copy ...

Thanks,
