What happened to me BIKE???? (Long Post)

Postby ZZR_Bandit » Mon Jan 02, 2006 7:39 pm

:D Ok so it was me. Bike shat itself week before chrissie so I decided to leave it until I had a chance to get at it. I lost nearly all power and bike wouldn't run properly. So I thought it might've had some thing to do with the carbies.............AND I WAS RIGHT!!!! Just before I got this bike registered I had the carbies cleaned and inspected as I couldn't get it going. Since I have had it registered I have had nothing but trouble with it :x :x . So when I pulled the carbies apart the left one was clean as a whistle whilst the right had a bucket load of shit in it (don't ask me how I have absolutly no idea why one is clean and the other clogged full of gunk). The right one also had a split in the Diaphragm :x :x . Luucky I have another bike to get spare bits off. But I won't be taking my bike back to where I had it serviced, The carbies had never been cleaned properly and they never noticed the split in the diaphragm. ASSHOLES!

Anyway I just have to get a couple of things tomorrow then I will start putting it back together. I am going to try and get it painted as well so I will put a poll up and see what people think would be a good colour.

Also is it hard to respray the tank or does that have to be done some special way because of the fuel?????? Any help on this would be great.

Tried to add photos but it won't work. Sorry.

Cheers
Ben

Who was it that serviced ya carbies?

Give us a shout out so we can all avoid it, gotta be worth it to protect the rest of us.

Wasn't that Budget Bike gang on the Hume was it?

Mate of mine had his carbies serviced and balanced on a ZZR 250 there and upon his first home service he realised that they had done jack shit except charge him $200 for a carb service he didnt recieve.........What do ya do a few months down the line........supposed to be able to trust these sort of guys

Give us a shout out mate

I'm going to go and have a chat with him tomorrow. Unfortunatly he is mates with some very long term (before I was born) family friends. I want to get my facts straight before I shoot my mouth off. Will keep ya's posted on what happens. Just in the middle of trying to find the reciepts for the work he did or supposedly did.

Cheers

I haven't heard of a Budget Bike Gang around here. Is that their business name? If not what is it? I have come to the conclusion that I am going to perform as much work as I can myself and the rest I will take to a bloke in Yackandandah. He was my brothers mechanic when he was racing 125's.
