hi all,

im in the uk at the moment, yep im a pomme :)

just been granted my visa, looking at settling in brisbane most prob.

own a 2005 zx10r, titanium colour,

been riding since i was 17, am now 34 only been without a bike for about 6months in all that time.

so whats the biking scene like over there?

is there lots of trackdays?

do you bike all year round, or is there a few months when you put your bikes away and wait for the better weather?

it cant be as bad as the uk for weather, at least i hope not! thats why im coming over, sick of rain and cold ;)

Welcome

You can ride all year round if you dont mind getting wet on the odd day.

Rossi was our last import from over there ...

Lots of members in Qld so you never be without a riding mate.

Welcome, we have plenty of ex poms on here so you'll be right at home..

Woot!

Another new Brissy member! I'm not the newest anymore

Welcome - Brisbane is definately the best choice for settlement :D

What's this about putting your bike away for months waiting for better weather!? They don't call Queensland 'the Sunshine State" for nothin... what was that slogan on that add ? "Beautiful one day, Perfect the next" ?

... not that I'm biased or anything... but it's true! If you don't mind the crazy 40 degree heat mid summer, the occasional 3-4 day rainy season, or the occasional late-afternoon midsummer storms, you can ride anytime you want :D

Great, another pom haha... welcome...

I ride all year around.... partially because I dont own a car, but I think in the last year I have only been rained on properly 3 times...

Not that it doesnt rain, but generally it rains at night, or in the middle of the day.... the weather is very kind that way

Welcome aboard,

There are a few of us out here now. Melb is OK, we get to show our wet weather skills  Hell, it snowed the day I picked up my first sports bike.

BTW what part of England are you in? I'm from Kent.

Hi 1/2 MT, welcome to the Club mate. The only time you won't be riding your bike in Qld is when you lose the licence  , we don't have *seasons* for riding like you fellah's.......

Hey man welcome to the Klub.

Lots of trackdays happening here, and a few of us are regulars.

Oh and riding in the rain is fun, it's just the whole getting to work wet bit that sucks.... You are going to love it here.
