Thank God Your Here .......

Postby Gosling1 » Wed Apr 12, 2006 10:02 pm

This show just started last week on Channel 10, it is a laugh riot I reckon....

Put together by the same team that did 'The Panel' (I miss that show heaps :( ).

If you haven't seen it yet, you should give it at least 1 viewing, it is just really unlike any other comedy programme on the tele, and god knows we all need some more comedy in our lives......laughter truly is the best medicine......

Based upon the premise that 'The Best Bullshitter Wins', the 4 guests are placed into situations with absolutely no script, and have to *wing it*, through a scene .....

Tonight, Shaun Micallef was just *really* funny .......its worth a look.

It's a lot like theatre sports, only with one "game" instead of several. It's all about "the bluff". Last week, Frank Woodley (of comedy duo Lano & Woodley) was fantastic, I was in stitches watching his segment. The show is a lot of fun.
Cheers,
Anne

I meant to tape it and forgot DOH! Being a De Generation fan and have the The Best bits of The Late Show on DVD as well as a couple of their audio cd's.

also quite partial to the panel, A River Somewhere, Bargearse and a few of their other classics, for those that have never seen the Late Show, get it on DVD even as a rental, Shitscared is just classic stuff!!!

Yeah, the only way I'd find Mr Bean hilarious is if he used a full batub and a toaster in a skit.
Watched TGYH last night for the first time on my daughters recommendation and great to see something different from the endless yank cop crap.
Not bad ..loved the ad campaign with Moonface jnr

good, i am glad that there are already a few fans out there........its a tough gig to introduce a new comedy show in Oz, there have been a lot of failures over the years

Micallef is a love/hate thing, I reckon he is brilliant, but his brand of humour is lost on a lot of people, and basically is the reason that his own show got the axe...... :(

Young Moonface reminds me of Ricky Gervais !! He is pretty good for a beginner, whats the bet he will host 30 Years of Logie Awards during his lifetime ??

Frank Woodley is just simply one of the funniest bastards out there, his *partner* Laino is often a guest on Spicks'n'Specks, and he does a good job there as well.......

How HOT is Natalie Bassingthwaite ????? :P :P :P
