Giles takes pole and the race win!!

Postby Strika » Mon Apr 03, 2006 7:16 pm

Dunno if anyone noticed, but Shaun Giles nabbed pole position and the race win in the celebrity race at yesterdays Melbourne GP!!!!

See...if you can do it on two....four is a walk in the park!!!!!!!

Pity the wollongon winge couldn't, and they never let Greg Hansford live long enough to see if he could!!!

I just dont see him being a "celebrity"......

To me a celebrity race shouldnt include people who race for a living.... it just seems wrong....

Thats like asking Peter Brock to be in a celebrity race..... just not cricket...
The world is round. It has no point.

i agree stereo. It might be different in a car but he knows what race line to take and he has a huge advantage on the rest.

That would explain the 4 second lead on lynch.

Often a proportion of the drivers in celebrity challenges often race also. So i don't think it unreasonable for Giles to be included. The only thing I think which is unfair, is that Giles being a two wheeled racer has a distinct advantage in as far as, a BMW 1 series usually doesn't fall over if you lose the front

But it shows that a guy who can hurtle round a race track at a reasonable clip on two wheels, should by rights be pretty handy on four......

Now Stereo, let's ask Brockie to do a celebrity race and see how he goes........on two wheels
