What to buy when you sell your boat........

Postby Glen » Mon Jan 16, 2017 12:25 pm

One of these of course..........Seadoo RXT x300. Thought about the Kawasaki 310 but there's no comparison to the Seadoos for the same dough

Absolutely awesome and perfect up in Port Stephens. Picked it up on Friday and started running in (thrashing it to it's self imposed limits) on the weekend.

Closest thing to a motorcycle on water but no speed limits to worry about..........

Nice... have been thinking about getting something like this... something that fits in the Toy Hauler.. :-)

Just figure it will go next to all the other stuff we hardly use... like the toy hauler.... Motorbikes, etc... :(

It's a hell of a lot of fun, although can be hard on the arms thighs and shoulders as I'm discovering this morning

Never been a boat person. And have always had an interest in a jetski. I think I need to have a go on one before I buy one though.

We've always had boats and quite frankly I've always thought of Jet Skiers as fully sick wankers......hence why I bought one :D

Unless your into serious skiing, full time cruising or fishing and want to spend time actually on the boat a ski is a hell of a lot more fun, easy and practical. You can still pull skiers or tubes/boards behind it (it's no wakesetter but you can have fun).

Has Ski mode so you can pre set your pull up and cruise speeds and has a ski pole on the back. Has a 116l boot at the front so you can load up with a small esky towels etc, stick your wake board on the side rack and cruise off to wherever. or you can throw all that off on the beach and head out for the heads and jump waves (probably the most fun).

I'd never ridden one until this Christmas. Came back from the first ride and said to the boss "we're buying a jetski" :D

looks the goods mate - have been thinking about a jet-ski since Xmas - we now have Kyliés mums old place in Melbourne (Chelsea) as a holiday home. 5 minutes from Chelsea Beach, there are jetskis everywhere around there......

There is a local Seadoo for 10k, its a 2013 GTi 130. Only 38 hours on the clock ! Immaculate........or for about 6k I could get a 2007 Kawasaki STX 15F - wth the 1500cc version of the Barge motor !! Not sure which way to go - why did you go with the Seadoo ?

The Seadoo's have closed loop cooling so no seawater through the engine just the radiators/intercooler. Maintenance is fairly basic on them also.

When you have a look at them the Seadoos I think are more marine engineered/seal better etc. I figure Seadoo just do Jetskis/small boats so that's their specialty.

If you want to have a shitload of fun on something small check out the Sparks.

10 hours is only just run in. If you could pick up a lowish hour GTR215 they are a nice thing.

I went the RXTX because it has a deeper S3 hull and Port Stephens gets pretty choppy. We've had a GTR out there though and it was fine.

I was pestering Michelle pretty hard a year or so ago for a Kawasaki Jet ski.
the 310r or the 310 LX.

they are weapons.

The Seadoo closed look cooling is a good idea 8)

All fine machines. The Seadoo hits like a hammer in the mid range and the whistle from the blower is awesome

hmmmmmm OK - I will have to look into this a bit more. The boss has given me the green light to get one, it just has to be able to tow a biscuit  - but I would prefer to avoid the supercharged versions. Just easier and less costly to maintain.

Nice Ski!

Ive had a few dating back to 550 two stroke stand up Kawasaki . Currently have a stx15f 2016 model. Good all round ski. My mate has his up for sale if your looking Gos? 2016 stx15f, 50 hours one owner with 2 years factory warranty left. He maintains it more than he rides it and rides like a grandpa. pretty sure its on gumtree.

The problem I find I with the skis though I look at mine all winter and think if I sell that I can get a new bike lol, but once summer hits that thought becomes a distant memory! :kuda:
