Anyone got any comments...good or bad
on comprehensive insurance with GIO, AAMI or RACV ??
was with Budget Direct for the SSv Sportwagon. last year it cost $905 but this year they want $1054! (ouch)
no accidents no claims and a car now out of their 1 year replacement program
GIO platinum (their top cover) looks good cover wise and they want $801, AAMI also looks ok
(have been with them a few years ago) at $859 and RACV is $889. All are $700 excess and
hire car included as is 1 window claim
..thoughts anyone?

Weve had our cars with AAMI forever. Have had a couple of claims when the mrs has had a ding and theyve always been really good to deal with.

Is the car still stock Smitty? Just that I know your into your V8's etc and I dont think AAMI take to well of mod's of any sort. Otherwise others I know have been reasonably happy. Also are the premiums all comparable to the same Agreed Value? Market Value can be a roll of the dice with the value if they decide to write anything off but depends on the premium difference I guess

Good point firey. AAMI will cover you for two mods I think eg lowered and exhaust but they wont cover the third eg wheels. Just Car is their modified arm but they are shit.
My young bloke has his 383 stroker beast insured with Shannons (and hes 23) with all of its mods etc and they did an agreed value (to a point)

We're with RACV and the multi policy stuff makes it pretty cheap. Have the house, 2 cars and 3 bikes with them.

we've had good experience with AAMI but have only ever insured the shopping trolley cars with them never had any problems with claims (and Di rolled our liberty!), currently we are with Shannons for the car as part of a package with trailer and bikes, price is ok, never had to claim with them though.

I'm with Coles (well before there stupid new advt) the first year came with free roadside assistance and a voucher for an additional 8c/pl fuel discount (so you can double to 18c off) haven't made any claims though so no idea how that will go.

)
all premiums quoted are EXACTLY the same cover..same excess, same agreed value, same - one window claim a year, same hire car provided etc
