Sounds like something a green grenade lover would say, ironically that's the stuff that Belgian drinkers urinate.

A staple of Australian culture for more than a century appears to be going soft in its old age.

Victoria Bitter, the nation's most popular beer, has been launched in a mid-strength version.

With its distinctive green label, VB has been a favourite of hard-drinking Australian men since 1894. Among its affectionate nicknames are Vitamin B, Very Best, the Jolly Green Giant and - for cans or "tinnies" - the Green Grenade.

Am I older then you guys?

Many moons a go I used to take a swig of my old man's grenades, than I grew up as did my taste bugs. ;)

Not many Aussie beers are at near on 5%, mainly due to the tax....

Did anyone read the letter the disgruntled drinker send CUB?

Cant drink it either any more, they did something wrong with it some time ago.

VB made half size stubbies early eighties (ideal for kids ;) ) old style ring pull top and skull it quick then toss it, you could open another one before it hit the ground just like a grenade hence the nickname.

V@g!N@l backwash I think I have heard it refer as.

Which may lead to a loaded question.....what is the best beer you have tasted?

For me, when I was living in London, Carlsberg Export was the best on tap. In a can/stubby, Heineken for me.
