Just wondering if anyone is going Skiing or Snow Boarding at Perisher during the second week of the July School Holidays?

We are about to book the second week of the July school Holidays to go Snow Boarding. :D Thought it would be good to catch up with any KSRCians that might be down there at the same time. :D

too restricted for me setto I prefer the freedom spent most of my childhood on conventional & a cross country ski's .... spose it doesn't suit everyone, but it's been interesting watching the progression of snowboarding over the years & I can understand the popularity.

I wish, loved going down for the school holidays (seems like only yesterday).

Probably going to take the kids (3 and 6) for a weekend play to see if they like it or not. Need to have a winter holiday and the beach doesn't cut it

I should be there, just not sure of the dates yet.
I only ski nowdays, snowboarded for a few seasons and it was good, but prefer skiing. I don't like the parabolic skis though ... am I just old skool?

But just like a bike with too steep a steering angle, they lack high-speed stability. They're good in the tight stuff, but not in 'giant slalom'-type runs.

You just have to keep them on an edge and not slide them. ;) They are much better on giant slalom type runs than straight skis and once you learn how to carve on them, you will never go back.

Some old men board. The oldest I have personally come across was in his mid 60's.
