My other 'new' toy.....

For 18 years I have wanted a first generation Honda Civic (sorry - yes, I have a 'thing' for Hondas!). I had a brand new Civic Coupe in 1996 when they came out and I've had a handful of other nice new cars over the years but all I've ever really wanted is a first gen Civic.

I finally found one in great condition and at a time where I can add another toy to the garage (and flog my current runaround off to the hubby! LOL).

We picked him up last night. Here is my currently un-named 1979 Honda Civic:

Congrats Ali!

Looks in great nick and UBER original :kuda:

If I ever had to give up mudderbiking I'll pickup a slightly modified 1970 Fiat 124 Sport BC and we can retro - cruise with a car club

ahaha, my uncle had one of those about 10 years ago (honda civic) couldnt sell it, so drove it to the tip and left it there.

it was in great condition, he drove the little sucker everyday! great little beastie.

there was a guy with "chubby" numberplates with one, it had a bonnet that looked like a venetian blind, it had turbo and heap of gearbox work done, for a track car. it was a beast :kuda:

LOL, well I've already got a KWAK so maybe not Donald. I like the number plate idea but I've just ordered new plates to match the car (CIV-079).
My previous vehicles have been Alex, Grover, Green Grover, Barry, Zook, Veradatron and now Kwak. Maybe it's time for a Brian?

I had a red one of these in 1998. It was a beast, I bought it for $200 and it lasted a good 10 months before I munched the gearbox. We ended up bush bashing it and doing motorcross jumps in it till the all the windows broke and all the engine mounts broke

I sold it to a wreckers in Warners Bay for $50..not bad really..
