Is it possible to change the frequency of the Belkin G+ Mimo F5D9230-4 Wireless Router which is 2.4GHz to something else? I have looked all over for the Mexican Gardener but cannot find heem....

Looked on-line but cannot find out, (but I'm searchy challenged also) . If you could give a damn, I'd be interested in hearing if anyone knew a way of altering the farker...

cheers

The frquency sends at 2.4GHz and it's the same as something else in the house that also sends at 2.4GHz so I wanna try changing the one that may be able to, and I do not know if it is possible yet. If that makes sense????

cheers

if you log in to the router, go to the wireless section and there is a section where you can change the channel. Typically 11 and 6 are used. But try and change it to something else.

Mick
you should be able to access the Belkin via a browser page (using firefox or IE)
it uses an address of 192.168.2.1 (just type that into the browser address field) ......and it will then ask for a password
(which will be password or administrator or similar-check yr manual) and on the left hand side of the page under -
Wireless, it sez -
Wireless and SSID

jump in there and change the channel
make sure you hit the 'apply changes' button when done

you cant do this on one of the laptops (its getting the wireless signal remember and you are wanting to change that!)
you have to do it on the PC that the Belkin is connected to..to which yr ADSL modem is connected to
which is connected to the phone...
which is connected to the knee cap and the knee caps connected to

afterwards you will have to re-set the laptops access
(delete the wireless network and ask it find the wireless signal again)
PITA I know...but its the way i got it to work

Mick..on the PC open up a new web page ..which will open up with the stored 'home page'
does not matter whether IE or Firefox or Mozilla..any browser
wipe the address at the top thats there and then type in 192.168.02.1 (no www or http needed) and hit enter on the keyboard

grab the manual, because not all routers have the same default ip.
Open internet explorer and put it in where you normally put in a web address. The user name and password should be in the manual as well.
