After finally getting the shit with the way Telstra have treated me over the last contract renewal fiascao I have decided to look at the other service carriers, now while I can compare call & data plans on paper, what I'm looking for is what experances others have had with service with the other carriers, ie Optus & Vodaphone etc, to help me make a decision on whether I Telstra and go to one of the others.
One of the other factors in my decision to look else where is that Telstra only have 3 data packs that run along side of their call caps, and I have to say they are pretty crap, $5 for 50mb, $10 for, 150mb & $29 for 300mb which just isn't enough esp with an I-phone.
So what do you guys think?

yep Vodafone service is crap out of Syd. Work had to put me on telstra to stop all the drop outs.
optus has a $129 business plan that includes unlimited national calls to landlines and mobiles (all providers) + unlimited SMS, MMS and 2 GB worth of data (3gb id you get the Iphone

) thats what i will be getting me thinks. That includes your choice of pretty much any phone on the market (including the new Nokia N97, HTC HD, Iphone and Blackberry .....mmmmm which one will I get). Optus reception by all reports isnt bad either.

No probs with Telstra here frank... discounted foxtell, big pond, landline & mobiles... bundle the lot & all of a sudden the rates are fantastic, not to mention the coverage is as good if not better than the rest for obvious reasons & frank we are running two I phones 3G.

Three just got bought out by Vodafone

....Had 2weeks of no internet access with the changeover

...Other than that the coverage is ok as hoffy stated they used to roam on telstra but not sure if they still do now with the changover.
