time to spill the beans

Well I think its time to spill the beans. As some may recall on the Sydney run to the ANZAC Dawn Service, I mentioned I had an interview with the Defence Forces in trying to join the Navy. I subsequently had a second interview where it was psyche testing, a medical and an actual interview with a Defence Force employee about what to expect what conditions and whats going on in the world. And got refferred through. I got held up on the medical because of an allergy i had when i was an ankle bitter and my moles. I since did the tests to clear them both and was medically passed, fit to join the Navy.
And since then I was given my date of enlistment and that is the 21st of Sept. Just have physical test to do next week and i'm good to go down.
So I'm basically giving myself hopefully 6 weeks of work left and hoping to have 2 weeks off organising and sorting stuff out before i go. And hoping to ride the north coast again
Prior to this i lost my job as a carpenter and was sick of hearing how my job wasn't safe for the past couple of years and wondering if I'd have a job come the following week, and working ridiculous hours. Where i'm working at the moment is saving me 40 hours a fortnight and am on more money.
So i'm quite pumped for what is coming and am hoping it all works out.
