Melbourne work needed

Postby Stace » Wed May 20, 2009 8:50 am

Hi all.

As some of you would know the company i worked for liquidated 2 weeks ago. Yes i did work for Mina and unfortunately he is in the same boat as me.

If anyone knows of anyone looking for someone who is mechanically minded and good with most hands on duties please let me know.

My history so far is 16 years as a fitter and turner, mostly on C.N.C. machines and the last 2 years as an electrical fitter. I have also done some earth moving and domestic/industrial painting in the past not to mention playing with bikes in the shed (alot of practice lately).

I'm based in East Bentleigh and would prefer something within 30 minutes of here but beggers can't be fussy. I have some irons in the fire within the switchboard industry but am still waiting to hear back.

Thanks all, i'm not posting this as a "please feel sorry for me" i'm just throwing the net out to see what i can find.

Sorry to hear mate, hope you and Mina both find something soon. Apparently 80% of jobs are got by word of mouth, so good on ya for throwing it out there.

Well you can start by scraping that stuff off the tiles in the bathroom , then rake the carpet in the Loungeroom , and shovel those empty cans out from behind the couch and then .... Nah dont do any of that , would spoil the "cosy" feel of the place .
But if your pet cochroach gets off it leash again there will be severe discussions
Ummmm let me see

His very well house trained thanks, He's curled up next to me in the shed now and with those new tablets i'm giving him, he'll be the size of a cat soon. Awesome pet and keeps the rats away from the shed

Shit dude, sorry to hear thing turned up their toes like this for you. Unfortunately i don't think ill be able to help too much, (aside from buying a beer if you come up this way), but anything in any industry i hear about i'll certainly drop in the recession aid thread. good luck, it's a shitfight out there.
