Police Car crash

Postby h8_rice » Thu Aug 28, 2008 7:27 am

Hey guys I'v posted this on a couple of sites now.
I took pics in the moments after a police car slammed into a tree in the carpark of my old highschool. (its beside the highway)
I got some pics of it before the other officers finally turned up to block the highway, I was ushered off just as the fire took over the whole car.
The driver only suffered minor injuries. but I bet he has alot of explaining to do !

I'm having issues with theft of pictures so sorry about the watermarked image.

This happened out the front of Beaudesert High School. My wife is a teacher there. The entire school went into lockdown as the accident happened just before the end of school.

If you happened to catch this story on the Channel Seven news (was last week), you would have seen Mrs Tree standing near a tree, taking pic's.

The official story is that the officer was drinking a Macca's drink and had a coughing fit.

Not surprising the way some cops drive. Was doing a car lesson this arvo coming up to a t-intersection and a copcar (driven by a cop my client knows and will give a serve next time she sees him!) cuts the corner so badly I swore. Nearly took the front off our car. ALL of the wheels were on the wrong side of the road! We'd get booked for it. The car I was teaching was the clients (manual, I usually teach auto) so I had no brake pedal and couldn't stop the car. F me it was close!
2 X ZRX1200R 4 X ER6N, GT550, 1988 ZX-10, 4 X GPZ250R, 4 X GPZ900R and GPZ750R :) Yeah I like Kawasakis.

What I found most interesting with the TV coverage was the whole "in a school zone" angle they played. While most school zones operate from 2:30pm, that particular one doesn't start until 3:00pm, so it occured just before the 40km/h limit came into effect. Made for better TV, though, suggesting the copper was speeding.

Definitely lucky that it didn't happen a bit later, hey? Wouldn't have been pretty.

We're in Veresdale. Our Falcon is dark red, not gold, so it wasn't me or Mrs Tree trying to take you out. Besides, we're both bikers, so we're "Biker Friendly" when in the cage.

PM sent.
