RED RIDE FOR LIFE
Hey Guys!,
Red Cross approached me to help them bring awareness to to this years Red Rid for LIfe and YES, it's here again this year!. Merlo Coffee and Australian Red Corss', Red Ride for Life!
Since the article in the Courier Mail on Saturday 14th June (http://www.news.com.au/couriermail/stor ... 02,00.html), The Red Cross have approached me with helping them raise awareness for blood donations with their annual ride, this year being the third ride.
Please, those in the Brisbane/Sunny Coast/Gold Coast areas, if you can make the ride and donate blood, it would be a wonderful gift. Even if it just one a year.
Those that are outside the SE QLD area, ie other parts of Australia or THE WORLD, perhaps you and a few of your mates could meet up, go for a ride and visit your closest Red Cross Centre and give blood.
Even those that don't ride bikes, grab are few friends, have a coffee and visit your closest Red Cross.
Those that are needle-phobic (like myself) or cannot donate blood, don't think you're getting away, a small financial donation to The Red Cross (http://www.redcross.org.au/contactus_default.asp) or (my small plug) to my foundation, (http://sashamaggiolo.com.au) (I'm raising money to help nurses further their training in Critical Care), and give yourself that warm fuzzy feeling on a cold winters day (well it here in the southern hemisphere...)
Most of you are aware, this event is very close to my hea...liver, so grab the largest butter knife you can find and 'spread' the word around.
With kind regards from the bottom of my liver,
Sasha Maggiolo
