Posted: Fri Mar 21, 2008 6:11 pmWindows media player just download the codecs, windvd, powerdvd either usually free with most dvd writers nowadays, think winamp (another free download) can play dvd's now too, can certainly play moofies.

Posted: Fri Mar 21, 2008 6:18 pmim on my mobile now so i cant search. But look for klite codec. Has every codec u will ever need. The mpeg layer 2 codec used to playback dvd is not free with windows media player

Posted: Fri Mar 21, 2008 8:43 pmthe best thing to do in my case was to download a decoder pack....k-lite from download.com, it's free and it'll play more than just dvd

Posted: Sun Mar 23, 2008 10:21 pmklite is good, just make sure you go for the full codec set (20+meg) and not the mini download. oh and power dvd is good value, its just a matter of getting a earlier version (2.x comes to mind) as that was pretty lightweight and didn't have a registration key to unlock the full feature set.
