How Hardcore should your motel stay be on a multi-day weekend ride out in the sticks ?

atmospheric,not bad considering. where abouts is it?

The road would have to be really good (and the booze cheap enough that I could drink myself into oblivion to get to sleep).

if it was less than $50 it wouldnt be too bad..i just stayed at a place that wasnt plush, just a plain basic 1 bed hotel/motel and it was $90.. i remeber when u could get a room for $60 !!

Stayed in worse. Generally only on good rides though

I got a discount cos I slept on the mattress on the floor...and I had more room than if I was on one of the bunks anyway

I had the room closest to the road upstairs, was in a bit better nick than yours. Double bed only though with no bunks. After riding from Brisbane that day anything with a shower and a bed would have done me, and for the price it wasn't too bad.

Oh and as for the road being OK the Oxley Highway starts in Port Macquarie (gets good after Wauchope) heading inland. A++++ will ride again.
