Number's up for clueless hoon
The Age October 19, 2007 - 7:02AM

A hoon driver who performed a "burn-out" inside a convenience store after driving through the front door made the task of tracking him down easy for police: he left a registration plate behind.

Police said the store attendant had to jump for his life as the car crashed through the front of the store in Warrigal Road, Oakleigh, when the driver lost control during a tyre-smoking "burn-out" in the car park just before 9pm yesterday.

Senior Constable David Fitzgerald said the man then drove further into the store, damaging equipment and threatening the attendant.

"Not satisfied with the level of stupidity he had displayed to this point, he did another burn-out inside the store, narrowly missing the attendant," Senior Constable Fitzgerald said

Senior Constable Fitzgerald said that, as the driver reversed out of the store, "he conveniently left his front bumper bar inside" with the registration plate attached." The attendant was not seriously injured but the total damage bill is expected to exceed $25,000.

News just said $100 000. Whats more the dipshit parked the vehicle in a driveway in a nearby street. No doubt the genius was going to report it stolen. Of course he was already known to police.
Stupid people amuse me because it makes me feel good that no matter what I do in life there is always someone else out there making far larger mistakes in they're life

Just saw an interview with hiss missus on 9. She hardly looked like an upstanding citizen.
"All it was was we had a disagreement and he was drunk...."

Way to go on the defence team!

..yep

and here's an update...nabbed

POLICE have arrested a 41-year-old man in connection with an incident where a car ploughed into a Melbourne convenience store.
Police were still interviewing the man at the Oakleigh Police Station late this afternoon.

The driver is likely to face serious criminal charges, Sen-Constable David Fitzgerald said.
Police are expected to claim that a driver of a Holden Commodore lost control of the car before it smashed into an Oakleigh 7-Eleven.
The front bumper and registration plate of the car was left behind.

Police claim the driver was performing a burnout in the car park of a 7-Eleven outlet in Warrigal Rd, Oakleigh, in Melbourne's south-east when he struck a kerb and lost control of the car, crashing it into the shop's front doors about 8.40pm yesterday.
