People keep saying that, but if they'd kept them, then the year after the Skyline dominated, they'd all have been driving Skylines, and then it would have been the Skyline Cup. This would have resulted in a one make race, like it virtually is now anyway. So, who really cares if the one make is Nissans or Falcadores?
i dont reckon it would have been that way. when the toranas were dominating, they didn't drop everything else and call it the torana cup. i have the feeling that manufacturers would have wanted to show off their cars regardless and it may have even led to some more interesting designs than the ho-hum generic falcadore.
i understand what they've tried to do with this series, and making it more competitive might work for some people, but for me having so many of the same car out there with the odd difference in panel/paint just makes it boring..

try the V8 Brutes. they're actually holdens and fords, and they're driven by loudmouthed rednecks who are not only not afraid of the odd 'love tap' they seem to consider it an integral part of their racing
