Pocket Rocket Backyard GP !!.....and some Vic boys...

Postby Gosling1 » Sun Jun 24, 2007 11:37 pm

It was my young blokes 8th birthday on Thursday last week. He got a Kawasaki 50cc pocket rocket. On Thursday, he needed me to hang onto the bike as he rode around the yard..........and the same on Friday.

On Saturday, he did his first lap without any 'assistance' from the old man.

Today, he was belting around, dodging his slower sister on the Yamaha YZR30GP  , and had knocked about 5 seconds off his best lap-time of the Backyard GP circuit. The look of concentration on his face has to be seen to be believed   . I couldn't get past him on the faster Yammie, but at one point, trying to make a move up the inside on 'Swing Corner', he looked back, spotted the YZR fair up his date, and gave the kwakka the berries.......it promptly stepped out a couple of inches, kicked up a bit of roost, the foot went down, and away he went !!

The crowd was made up of fellow KSRC hard-core crew Greg, Stace, Mel and Mick C - great to see you boys up here for a flying visit. Cold enough for you ??? bloody freezing.... check the Classic Kawa thread for a photo of Team Crim's Silver Bullet.....and thanks for the ride Mick, it was great !!

Great stuff Gos

Mate it's all down hill from here you know. First they start beating you and then the humiliation starts. My young bloke used to get to the end of a trail, wait for me and then greet me with "what happened, you fall off or somethin'"

The pocket rocket looks great.
It's really all about standing around drinking Dave's beer.
