Things to do when you can't ride.

As most of you know i'm halfway through doing a 3 month license suspension (lucky me, but lets not go there). Anyway i half assedly started up a project of making an airboat before i was suspended. Anyway the project has started to come to fruition, with the first obstacle of cutting a shitload of plywood 90% completed, just making things fit perfectly remains, and skinning it too.
Here's what i've got so far, it measures 54x28cm (21.5x11inches for the old farts) weighs 610 grams (1lb 6 oz) and its just the formwork slotted together without any glue in there.
Motor is going to be a new OS .26 (3.5cc) motor and hopefully a helluva lot of fun once i've gotten it sorted out.

oooh. That almost makes me want to see if there are any WiG boat kits available.
Certainly get weird looks from people rocking up with an Ekranoplan model instead of a boat...

Think of a swamp boat, basicly a flat bottomed boat with a BIG motor and propellar on the back to drive the boat instead of a small prop under the water, and noisy as hell..

its something to sink a couple hundred buck into and crash spectacularly into an embankment in order to destroy the r/c running gear, the frame and the engine.

Depends on what your fishing now doesn't it. They tend to go 'gator fishing' in the southern states of the US.
