Go Karting this Sat night (Melbourne)

Postby mick_dundee » Thu Apr 12, 2007 10:57 am

So a riding buddy is getting hitched next weekend and due to that this weekend the plan is go karting and then go get seriously pissed (after the go karting) sort of a send off more so than a bucks night.

So just wondering if anyone is in the know as to the best place to do the go karting thing from??

Evidently some 2 stroke karts out there somehwere that do like 90kmh or something I hear..

Mick,

Where abouts in Melb do you want to go?

How far can you travel?

On Chesterville road in Moorabbin, there is an indoor go-kart place, theres Auscarts in Port Melbourne (Salmon st I think), there is a place in Oakleigh (Huntingdale rd I think) and also at Dandenong south there is Le Mans which is an outdoor track.

I have been to the Port Melb, Oakleigh and Dandenong tracks.

Heres the link for the moorabbin place http://www.gokartsport.com/

I hope thats a start for you.

Cam, guess given we are all on bikes we can go pretty much anywhere, having said that, we all live in inner burbs pretty much and too much travel time can cut into drinking time :D

Thanks for the start, will go to work see what we come up with.

The Moorabbin place is crap for the amount they charge. Expensive and nothing good to show for it.

We'll head to South Morang one day for the pocket bikes but seems we are booked at Somerton who assure us they have Melbourne's fastest carts, should be a blast!!!
