MYTHIC hard rock act Guns N' Roses will tour Australia for the first time in 14 years this June.
Controversial singer Axl Rose is the only member who remains of the classic line-up which dominated modern rock in the late 1980s and early 1990s with the record-breaking albums Appetite For Destruction and Use Your Illusion.
Gunners fans have been frustrated by Rose’s inability to complete the band’s long-awaited new album, Chinese Democracy, which has been in the works for more than a decade and is rumoured to have cost more than US$13 million, making it the most expensive rock album in history to never be released.
Despite Rose assuring fans it would be out this year, the tentative release date of March 6 passed without the record hitting stores.
While Rose has developed a troublesome reputation as an unreliable eccentric, the Gunners have completed more than 70 concerts throughout the US and Europe on the Chinese Democracy world tour.
They will perform at the Acer Arena on June 23, with tickets on sale from April 26 via Ticketek.
