My Girlfriend started a new job on Monday. Three years of study finally paid off. Not being able to work myself due to my injuries, I decided to " take the ball up" myself and do the Mr MUM thing. I mean, How hard can it be? Right?........Hmmm. :?

The day started at sunrise. ( Fark, Look Out - I'm back at Sterling ) :D .
'D' starts at 0800 and is still learning the roads to work. So she allows a 45 minute drive to work and leaves at 0700hrs.
By this time, The Three kids are already out of bed, showered, dressed for school, lunches packed, and into an " All In Brawl" in the dining room over the Coco Pops.
 I'm starting to work up a sweat.

So that I dont forget to get the kids out and off to school at 0830hrs, ( I suffer from C.R.A.F.T. - Cant Remember A Flamin' Thing) D ingenuinesly turns the oven timer on for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Saying, " When the timer goes off, walk the kids to school." BRILLIANT.

Somewhere between 0700 and 0830 hrs, I've managed to discover that the dishwasher really isn't a dishwasher, but a firidge, Put a load of washing on, and hung a load out , and I've got a " Parent / Teacher Interveiw at 0900hrs.

At 0830 it's off out the door to school...Its at this point I'd like to say that I dont recommend walking that far on my leg... Arrrrggggghhhhhh
I'm hobblin' along the bike track, looking like an absolute retard from the pain... and Miss Taylor, my second eldest Simone's friends mum... Quickly I swallow half a dozen Endone ( Morphine tablets ) and cant remember too much about the Parent / Teacher Interview. According to my daughter Simone, " My dad is really funny Miss Taylor reckons.? ?

3 hours to Pay the rent, do the dishes, vaccum the bedrooms and lounge room, do the ironing ( The WHAT???)   ) Cook tea ( Where's that Pizza voucher? ),........ I wannna go back to work.....

I take my hat off to ya Ladies.... I'll never bag my girl for sitting on her arse watchin " Days of Our Lives " again. :D
Hardest Days work I've done in years.

HTFU.
I have been a single dad for over twelve months and hold a full time job. Yes it is exhausting but the satisfaction can't be beat.
I have my 5 year old every second week from Friday to Friday.
She has just started school and thankfully I work for a very good and understanding company that allows me very flexible hours.
Wouldn't swap things unless I can work out a way to saty at home full time.
Remember, half the people you know are below average.

It's OK once you have settled into a routine :P . I worked 10 hour shifts 5 day a week and had four kids as a single mother. Once everyone adjusts to it you will soon be able to do all that and watch Days Of our lives too.

I dont know if it's just the military mentality, but it kills me being a kept man... If the guys in Afghanistan could just see me now... :D I dont have too much of a problem with bathrooms and dust... Its the girl's room I'm scared of... Man, I never thought two girls could wreck a room in such a short time... Hiroshima all over again...

You're probably right Lainie...but what do you do when you have three kids and they all want to do it their way? I've negotiated hostage situations, and led troops into hostile enemy territory - yet I cant negotiate a peaceful breakfast. :) :)

Wonder what Dr Phil would suggest? What time is he on again?
