. . . without the boss crying !

basically my boss relies on me when he wants to do other stuff and leaves the workshop in my hands ( small buissness u know how it is) and i just dont feel like im getting payed well enough so iv desided to go and sell some infamouse plastic products

( tupperware:P) cos it seems a little more practical, but the problem is these ppl gave a chance when i had nothing and have done everything for me and its going to be really hard to leave , im dreading that conversation ... help , should i just not bother showing up one day , ????? EAKKKK

Do NOT just not show up one day,
it is far better to talk to the boss about the money side of things and see if they can match what you think you'll make from your new job.
As a small busness owner in a former life it is easy to get so wrapped up in the running of the business you sometimes forget to reward the people who helped you get there (not that I ever did.......cos the blokes who worked for me were big buggers !)

If so you owe him at the least some warning. As Rossi said just sit and talk to him you never know what may happen :wink:

Whatever you do Chikky never burn your bridges.

Explain to your boss what your concerns are and give hima chance to rectify them first, particularly if they're decent people. Then if your not happy, rationalise the whole thing, work out what's best and then have the " I want to move on" discussion.

Open and honest will always stand you in better stead

the toes you tread on today, may be attached to the foot which moves the legs that hold up the ass you need to kiss tomorrow....

do the right thing by them and you may have a place you can fall back on if all else goes to shit...

Tupperware, honestly? I didn't know you were a middle aged housewife looking looking for a top up income. I know one 'serious' rep, and she is a practicing nurse during the day.

I see Tupperware similar to Avon, they pay their reps bugger all and expect their agants to take their costs out of the miserly commision they earn. Look into this before resigning from anywhere. Maybe be a party planner in your evenings and see how it goes. If you start to earn enough, then consider giving the day job the elbow.

Talk to your current employer about the situation. Be completley honest with them.
Also as far as the Tupperware job goes, if you can do that part time as I would think it would be an after hours type of job, then try it at the same time as your current job to make sure it is what you want. That type of selling can be very hard and may not give you the return that you are looking for.
