I'm in the market for a "decent" quality toolkit, ie not a Kamrt jobbie, is Sidchrome still the best or are there some as good and cheaper?

Bunnings is also full of that GMC shit gear ... its replacing the good stuff so bunnings is a no go zone for me.

Sidchrome for the last 20 years with no probs
& Kinchrome is on par :D

Most of my gear is KingChrome or KC Pro Am, and I haven't had a prob with any of it over the last 10 years and they come with a lifr time replacement warranty.

Sidchrome are now owned by Stanley in the US. As far as I can tell the quality hasn't dropped, but I'm not sure they still offer an 'unconditional' guarantee if broken in the line of duty. I have Stanley sockets as well (1/4" drive) they aren't too bad either.

Kinchrome is also pretty good as mentioned...Snap On are obscenely expensive. I have a few 'Crescent' brand tools as well (also a US Company) they seems really good quality as well.
