and that's why they tell you to put the wrist strap on at the start of each game!!!
edit: ok I knew I should have read the article..
but apparently there's been lots of tv's/windows/lamps broken and some injuries too, all from not wearing the strap.

the wrist straps have been breaking though
which, in turn asks, how hard are they throwing the god damn things? they deserve to bust their tv!!

They are aware and it was made known even before it was released.

and why are they throwing them!
fair enough I got a bit sweaty playing wii tennis, but wasn't at risk of the thing flying out of my hand.

which begs the question, who the hells gonna pay for her plasma screen? i'd hate to think of the legal battles this'd cause.

The wrist straps have been recalled evidently and are being replaced by a thicker veriosn at no cost the proviso is you have to ask for it..
And the "official" word from Nintnedo is "It's not a fault per se" but fuck me some ppl hit tennis balls farkkin hard..

True, nut have you tried buying a PS3?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the novelty of the Wii remote will last no longer than 12 months, then people will be sick of the "old-gen" graphics and typical Nintendo 3 year old game play and Nintendo will go the way of Sega.
It'll be sad, but it'll happen.

So let me get this straight...people pay hundreds of dollars for a games console, and thousands for a big widescreen tv...so they can play a simulation of a game

that costs around $12 at the local lanes...

thats about the sum gist of it.
Not even taking into account the repair costs for the plasma if you screw up like this chick did.
