What's with Customer Service today......

Postby T » Fri Oct 13, 2006 5:38 pm

Went to the city yesterday to buy Mick his b'day pressie..................

What is it with the larger bike stores on Elizabeth St, Melbourne...
Apart from Shiney new bikes.......... Peter Stevens etc had NOTHING....
The service sucked..... and the staff's attitude sucked.

They all had nothing on show in different sizes... just clearence items and smaller sizing.
It woulda been ok if he was a little thin spagetti size... and then they told me if i wanted to order it i could but it would take 3 weeks........hello.. then when i wanted to look at other alternatives the storeman wasn't interested.

Why is it when we have money to spend it's the customer that always walk out un-impressed with customer service?

PS drive me nuts!
There prices are high, service is low and the staff well every now and then you find a good one.

I like to shop with cash, with what i want in mind.
I go there knowing what i want, how much iv'e got to spend.
If i don't see it i walk out. Yep a woman who doesn't like to shop  unless it's online of course

I hate staff who try and talk you into things, what about this style, we have it in pink, do i look like a girl girly!

Shoping online much easier.

That's disappointing, T, but unfortunately not uncommon..sometimes people don't appreciate the fact that they have employment! :?

Customer service has turned to shit over the years. Being in retail (on the other side of the fence), i see a lot of it. The scary part is when you ask a question to someone that has asked if you need help, and they know nothing. Eg a helmet in red on the shelf and you ask if it comes in green, the simple things they just don't know. It gives me the shits!

As for the Batt industry the only good batt shop is Marrickville
Red_Dave i will pm bank details for comment payment
