1.3kg this week...

I need to review my thought processes.... because I am certainly not doing enough exercise...

1.3kg in a week is still good mate, don't put yourself down. I read that a healthy rate to lose weight is 0.5kg a week, but then I was losing it at around 1-2kg per week myself.

Have you tried swimming? I've been going regularly for the last 8 months and it has been fantastic for losing weight and getting my aerobic fitness back up. I spend 1 hour twice a week doing laps while my wife is doing water aerobics, I just alternate freestyle and breaststroke so that I can keep moving the whole time instead of sitting up the end like a gumby.

Whatever you are doing re diet and excercise, make sure it's a lifestyle change that you can easily maintain so you don't end up back where you started.

dont forget aqua running- great on joints....
actually its proven that deep water running is one of the highest calorie burning excercises (one is tied at the waist so they cant move, and put into deep water where they cant touch the bottom, then they have to run as a form of treading water)

its a killer excercise (even when pretty fit i lasted abt 30sec)

keep up the good work mate!!

for what its worth..i weighed in tonight again at the gym.....86kg...STILL..ive been gyming, eating healthy, off the cigs, and riding my pushbike, and playing indoor soccer, and i cant lose 1 farking KG....aaaaggggghhhhhh

How long have you been doing that? Remember the first couple of weeks can be misleading because there is waterweight to remove and if you didnt have a lot of that you wont lose a lot... also if you suddenly start excercising again you end up putting on muscle in the first few weeks your muscles will take on a lot of water to keep the muscles pumped up (well, blood actually, but you know what I mean)... You will start to see the true results soon if you keep at it.... (listen to me... doing motivational speaking now!)...

Remember.... as Jennie says.... "It is NOT one big bad decision that made you the way you are.... it was lots and lots of little decisions over and over again... Wouldnt the same be true in reverse?"

Fat layers over muscle, and is lighter than muscle. As you build the muscle you don't see any reduction as there is still fat on top of it. You don't lose any weight as you have gained muscle counteracting the weight loss from fat reduction. The more you excercise, control your intake, the quicker you see results.

Persoanlly I'd say dropping weight fast isn't healthy, and will lead to the, "I've reached my target weight, back to normal" attitude. Then the weight goes straight back on. The aim is a lifestyle change, where you don't over eat, drink in moderation and excercise regularly. This will not only lose weight, but maintain target weight once reached. It's the regular excercise I fail to manage.

Not being negative, just saying the changes are taking place and explaining why you haven't seen them.

Now get back in the gym and run another circuit

You put on a kilo from a glass of beer?

Actually ... accoring to research.... Bigger people need more alcohol to get drunk.... so I am actually making it cheaper for me to drink :)

Anyways, Its on for tonight! woot!.... I wasnt feeling all that positive on Tuesday... but for some reason I am today..... Not sure why... I have not done anything special....

I think I have figured out how this whole thing works...

Smaller portions are pretty obvious,
exercise is obvious,
reduce fat, sugar and carb intake is also pretty much expected....
Eating 6 times a day is a little less usual, but most people still know about it...

The secret seems to be.... Do all of those, and keep doing it..
