Thanks MadKaw for the clean-up. You moved it on me mid-authoring though so I almost lost all of this post.
While I hesitate to further the discussion I need to defend myself it seems...

hoffy wrote:I have never considered Tony a friend

OK - that's a surprise, and explains a lot.
I don't think there's anyone I've met in person on this forum (barring some that have left) that I don't consider friend, and I consider many I haven't met as friends.
The fact you didn't also consider me friend tells me we have different definitions.

This also tells me that this isn't a pisstake and you're serious - so I'm going to actually respond.
Because you've seriously disparaged me across multiple threads I'm also responding publicly when normally I'd do it privately.

Normally I'd also ignore the situation as I don't feel in the wrong, and I'm not an argumentative person keen to inflame these sort of discussions. But you've been very inflammatory and I'm not inclined to let you get away with that without at least once real response.

The 'joke' - whether you find it funny or not - was not submitted in malice and is considerably minor compared to many other 'taunts' on this forum, from yourself included. Had you responded (either at the time or now), either privately or in thread, saying it offended you - I would have quickly apologised as it wasn't intended to be offensive. I'd considered you a friend and able to take a joke.
Instead of behaving like an adult you've embarked on a widespread disparaging tirade and temper-tantrum, making accusations and statements that are in no way justified.

I don't pretend to be able to cover all the accusations, or even necessarily get their wording right (I don't have the time at work to find and quote all the references, I've spent too much time on this already), but to cover some of the points.

Tony said Hoffy was slow and pathetic - I never said that. The joke implied that someone else implied that - but therein was the humour. Whether you consider it funny or not. In fact I'm more than willing to concede that you're faster than I - I've not ridden a 'real' bike for 2 years (not 3 as you state) for my own reasons and so therefore wouldn't suggest I could jump on a real bike and be faster than anyone else. It may occur, but I would not ever make that assumption with anyone.

Tony considers himself a racing god who knows the best lines around EC - completely unjustified as almost every comment I've ever made around my abilities around EC are completely opposite. Even when others claim I'd be quicker on the Kawonda than some in the slow group, I'd normally respond with 'perhaps, but only likely in the down hill corners'. The best I've EVER managed around EC was a 2:04 on the old ZZR600. When I was last at EC borrowing Dave#3's and Cath's bikes the best I did was 2:15 - so I really don't know where you get the sub 2 minute references you've made.

Dealing directly with one post that was particularly inflammatory and covers most of the pertinent points:
hoffy wrote:I cant believe what a wanker you are... ...Id suggest you wake from your dream "Valentino Rossi" and stop living in that fantasy land you have been living in since your variety of stacks 3 years ago..did you bump your head when it fell over?

Name calling - very mature. But you're emotional so I'll ignore it.
Did you forget that you were a participant in that stack 3 years ago? The other 'stack' was 2 years ago. Neither I consider to be my fault, but you're obviously mentioning them to disparage my riding ability (and by reference therefore your own?). If so, don't really care. I don't consider other people's opinion of my ability particularly important - it's my own that counts.

hoffy wrote:dude, you seriously have no idea..you think you are an authority on how to ride fast  ..

Never considered myself an authority on how to ride fast. Though I do believe I can assist new riders regarding how to ride well - I have done so and will continue to do so. I think It a good way to thank those who helped me out, by helping others out myself. I still bow to many other forum members regarding how to ride fast - whom I won't mention as I don't want to bring them into your tirade.

hoffy wrote:you were never that good..yet feel you somehow have the cred to constantly make insinuations about how others ride..you are truly the wanking man's "COMPLETE WANKER"..

I was, and am, good. I'm not great. I'm not perfect. But I am good. I was always able to safely maintain front group positions on old-road rides on my 'real' bikes, and continue to be able to on the postie within it's limits.
So you're wrong - I am good.
You have even commented yourself, as recently as 2 weekend's ago, how well I was doing on the postie. You can't throw a postie around the old road the way I do without some ability.

hoffy wrote:go and buy an R1, then you could hand around people with those self-anointed fully-sik like yourself..and tell each other stories of how you scrape elbows

Mate, I can't even get my knee down.

Unless something else particularly disparaging comes through I think this post is the last you'll here from me about this.
I don't particularly care if you get the last word in or not - this isn't a competition for me.

My final word is that I guess I can no longer consider you a friend, and so have no further time to waste on you - this doesn't appear to be a recoverable situation.
When I thought this was a pisstake I thought it was a lead up to some friendly competition on Saturday, but you've furthered your tantrum and run out of that with your tail between your legs.

So good luck on your other track day, good luck on your promotion on Monday (referred to elsewhere), and goodbye.

whatever makes you happy tony, but at the end of the day you criticised my riding and I gave you both barrels..doneski, and I wont change my attitiude for you or anyone.

In regards to the accident, apparently according to communication sent to my insurance company It was attempted by yourself that I was to be the one painted to be responsible for your accident, which from the day I have recieved this comms in the form of an email, that I have hated your guts..I must say Im glad that situation was sorted the way it should have been. I have not shared this with alot of people but hey while your on the subject of it let tango.

For the public record I think your a tool, and thats all I have to say..end of discussion.

Merry Xmas, Hoff.

*commence longest thread post i have ever made*

man, this thread is crazy.
never thought i'd see an argument on KSRC go on for this long. i'd expect better from two KSRC grown lads.

sorry to get all mushy on ya but...(OMG "sorry"..where did that come from !??? )...
When you apologize, you're telling someone that you're sorry for the hurt you caused, even if you didn't do it on purpose.

women have taught me that the sooner you apologise the better, and there is no 'too late to apologise'.

we all only have a certain amount of time on the planet (i'm gunning for 40yrs, anything more than that and i'm sh1t out of money) but this 'issue' seems like something silly to be stewing over.

...yet i cant stop reading it

so um...yeah...so...
...who has the fastest laptime at the creek?

i do 3min32 secs...i'm sure MadKaw has seen me first hand setting up a picnic on the grass at Turn9. :)
i plan to upgrade to a gsxr1000 to cut it by 5 seconds. *that line is clearly hilarious so i will not insert smiley*

dammit i'm going to get into sh1t now, i was supposed to walk the dog and spent 40mins writing this instead. help.gif

luckily this thread is now deleted so i'll re-commence my one-liner posts and pretend this one never happened. evil7.gif

Well that was a waste of half an hour reading this train wreck..

Everything after the track advice that was the original post should be deleted and the rest will sort it's self out.
