the great debate?

Been fighting it out today with couple of victorian people over the name of a potato scallop. now being from NSW i've always known them as this but to victoria its a potato cake. so which is correct :lol:

a scallop as we known in Vic lives on the bottom of the ocean or bay.... and comes in a shell
so I have no bloody ideaa what you NewsouthWelshpeople think you are eating..... :twisted:

WTF! So if I have battered fish it's a fish cake? Wattie's battered Mars Bars are Mars Cakes? Do I have to batter my daughter's birthday cake next year so we know it's a cake? Better tell the japanese that their tempura is actually a cake too :shock:

They are potato scallops people, end of discussion.......we don't listen to people who pronounce castle like tassle :P
