I think what Jason is kindly trying to point out, is that the road has an 80 limit for a reason (otherwise it would be 100), and that were he at work he would be happy to provide you with a court summons!

So lets get this straight, 2008/09 will see:
Bikes impounded for speeding
Front numberplates
More wire fencing
and people can now dob other people in for "hooning" (or overtaking, wheelieing, taking their parks, lane splitting, going really really really fast, and just being better because we are on bikes :D )
Paying for road tolls

If only my bike could fly is all im saying!

Actually Mike, I like to call a spade a spade, and I think what we have here is a spade. :)

My point was, that anyone who thinks that 110 in a 50 zone is alright has obviously had half (at best), 3/4 at worst, of their brain removed.

I'm all for people killing themselves. I'm not much of a people person as it is, but when they try and kill others who don't really want to be involved, that's a different story.

If some fucktard was doing 110 past my house, the next time they tried it would be the second and last...

Hoon loses car for driving at 180kmh
Matthew Burgess April 1, 2008 - 6:18AM

A P-plate driver has had his car impounded for the second time after he was clocked driving at 180kmh in Melbourne's south-east last night.

Police say the man, 18, from Chelsea Heights, was caught driving at more than 100kmh over the speed limit  in a 70kmh zone in Wells Road in Patterson Lakes, and also 150kmh in a residential area in Hunt Drive in Seaford, about 8.15pm. He tried to avoid police by turning off the lights in his Holden V8 Commodore and turning into a dead end, police said. He was stopped in his car.

The man will be charged with a number of traffic offences. His car has been impounded for up to three months under the hoon legislation, police said.

Hunt Drive is a 50kmh zone (I know it)...and this pharkwit was doing 150............... with no lights on

If you get caught doing dumb shit like this, you don't deserve a license, let alone a car or bike to do it with. But not having a license, or owning the car doesn't stop you from doing it, only people like Bubba can stop you doing it. I reckon everytime i went to gas it my arse would twinge with painful memory and i'd remain in a calm, law-abiding citizen.

I'm not a fan of the idiots that get out in my street, and they certainly wouldn't be missed if something were to happen to them, but until such times as road spikes happen to be accidently left out in my street there not much I can do

Just remember that these retards share the road with your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend/children, etc etc. It's all beer and skittles until you're the one burying someone you love.

So what is the HOON legislation how can it be interpreted :?: :?: :?: :?:
Is it just speeding :?: or is it racing :?: or more importantly is it up to the discretion of the booking officer
So lets play devils advocate
Me and a mate are sitting at the traffic lights glint in the eye,we scan the area there are no visible safety issues lights turn green lets go, Both of us accelerate as fast as possible and reach the terminal speed of the road conditions or posted speed limit.
So legally where do I stand. Technically :?: I have not broken the road rules ;)
Nostradamus probably got it right

in Vic..there is specific legislation AGAINST what you want to do

its called STREET RACING and was the starter of all this anti-hoon legislation
originally you could be fined and lose points

today..?? you get penalised under the 'hoon' legisaltion and lose your bike (or car) for 48 hours
if caught on the 1st offence

however..if you do this by yourself... that is accelerate as hard as you want up to the speed limit
in a safe fashion..no smokies or wheelies and you don't endanger other road users and are in control
of your bike... apparently you can't be stung under any legislation
coz..you have done nothing wrong ;)

go for it
