Carmen Electra is ready to go public with her new girlfriend, according to US reports.

The former Baywatch beauty is expected to step out with rocker Joan Jett at a popular lesbian event in Palm Springs, California, later this month.

Electra, who split up with husband Dave Navarro last year, and Jett have been dating secretly for months, according to Star magazine.
The couple will come out at the Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs, California, being held between March 28 and April 1.
Jett was in the teen all-girl group the Runaways in the late 1970s, and has played with The Blackhearts since the 1980s.
"It's known as the lesbian prom!" an insider told the magazine.
"Carmen and Joan are planning on enjoying all the fun the weekend has to offer, and they'll be making a very clear statement to the world by attending together."
Electra has been telling people that she will "drop a huge bomb" at the event.
"Carmen said 'I'm going to drop a huge bomb at the Dinah that's going to surprise a lot of people'," a source told Star.
Carmen, 34, and Jett, 48, actually first met at last year's Dinah Shore Weekend.
"They've been dating since before Thanksgiving," another source told the magazine.
"They don't cohabitate, but they do spend a lot of time together."
Electra split up with musician Navarro in August 2006, with their divorce becoming final on February 20 2007.
