Pleasantly Suprised

Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:35 pm

I love chocolate!! No, I really, really, love chocolate. It's normal in our house for a block to be opened and consumed in one sitting. I can't understand these people who open a block and let it sit in the fridge/cupboard for days or weeks on end. And I hate, HATE, cheap arsed chocolate. You know, the kind your grandparents buy at easter time. Blech!

And whilst I love my Cadbury chocolate, since they changed the recipe recently, it simply hasn't been quite right. I certainly don't consider Cadbury chocolate to be at the top of the heap either. It can't stand up to the test in comparison to some of the Italian and Belgian imports, and a lot of the locally produced stuff from Haighs etc is much nicer. But of course, it costs a bucket load more.

So, I was rather suprised when someone talked me into trying the Coles Belgian Chocolate. It's on special at coles at the moment for 2 bucks a 250g block. After trying it, I went and got another 5 blocks!! I mean, who would expect something called "You'll love Coles Belgian Chocolate" to not taste like a steaming, festering pile of week old camel shit??

So, for the chocolate lovers out there. Do yourself a favour and try a block. You too may be pleasantly suprised,

Yum, I love chocky...... The keeper & I went to the Cadbury's factory whilst in Tas ....... OMFG samples straight off the conveyor were to die for, not to mention wanting to fall into the vats of liquid chocolate
Then after that we went to the cascade brewery but that's another story.

Will have to sample the coles belgian.... going there tonight anyway, it's on the list 8)

Funny thing is I dont particularly like chocolate, yeah I know the hate mail will come, but I ate so much of it as a teenager I am quite frankly over it. I am talking about the no longer available "king" size cadbury block everynight after work with 2 cans of coke  (thats double the large size block you get now and never got acne either)

Although I like my Big M chocolate milk every now and then ;)

Got an alcoholic mate - how about that! - we bought a bottle of that bourbon and decided that that was definitely bad for our health and discarded it post hast lest blindness set in permanently.
Big turn up for both of us to not want to touch it after only 1 belt each.
