I'm off..

I've tried cologne and deoderant and it hasn't helped..... besides that...

I'm off to Victoria to offer the Vic coppers in the bushfire areas some much needed relief. Heading out tomorrow and not back until the 12th. We are staying at some dodgey looking joint in Croydon.

If you're in the area and you see some coppers in stupid and impractical uniforms with cowboy hats, be sure to give them the ol' 2 finger salute.

Don't have too much fun without me!

We aren't coming across to ride bikes, unfortunately. We are coming across to relieve the guys and girls on patrols. I haven't done patrol work for a number of years, so hopefully I'm not too rusty.

As a result, I'm going to be wearing my blue pants, not my tank commander jodhpurs.

At this stage, I have no idea where I'm working or what shifts I'm working. I'll try and get online at some stage with a bit of an update.

Well, I'm finally home and glad to be back. The brain hasn't quite kicked night-shift mode, but it'll get there.

I have to say, the experience was extremely humbling and the devestation was truly an eye-opener. I'll post a couple of pics of the areas we were allowed into, once I sort out which ones I am allowed to post.
