foxtel aint working error 8117

anyone have any idea what it means ??
was working fine last night and then this morning nothing.
Just keeps resetting and 8117 comes up on the front of the box then starts resetting again

Haven't had that one before Mario.

We've had heaps where it just dies, you unplug the power and then plug it back in and whooshka she comes alive.

I'd give Foxtel a buzz. They'll fix it in a flash and probably try and sell you HD a the same time

My Foxtel remote is giving me the shits! when I push the buttons the red light lights up but it doesn't change channel or whatever it is I'm trying to do I think I better ring them too

My Foxtel remote is giving me the shits! when I push the buttons the red light lights up but it doesn't change channel or whatever it is I'm trying to do I think I better ring them too

Before you ring them try pressing the "FOXTEL" button at the top of the remote and then try changing channells etc.

Ok Cheers, but I did ring them and they didn't suggest that! I'll give it a try when I get home, they suggested I reset the remote by pushing every button at the same time! I think I'll try your idea first! if that doesn't work I have to give them a call and "we'll try some stuff over the phone" ooer!

also try a new set of batteries..... i found my IQ remote did that quite a bit, changed batteries and all was sweet!

Try pressing Back and Select at the same time on the actual Foxtel box itself.

Batteries are probably fucked.

thanks all fixed now !!!! It was at their end . They had problems in different areas in Vic NSW ans Qld . Just fixed it now and it only took them this long
