Train commuting and teenage schoolgirls!

Tue Aug 26, 2008 6:59 pm

I've been commuting on train since not having a nice bike :( and from time to time learning that it's not the train that puts you off - its the people in it :x. While I have great tolerance and understanding to smelly people, loud (and I mean loud!!) people, etc. I find it those most inconsiderate that pisses me off, like the guy oppossed to me who I had to tell to put his feet down.

But it seems I now encounter a breed of unlikely 'opponents' - small groups of teenage school girls :? ... Last week I had a bottle thrown (but missed) and today a different group of girls proceded to pole-dance right in front of me, one saying (and quote) "pussy...pussy". After which they proceeded to abuse me using 'indian accent'. I'm not originally from here btw. for those who don't know.

I was quite shocked with this behaviour but started calm verbal lecture about having manners, etc. all to no avail.

So the million dollar question is: What would you do in this situation?

Kids these days! Nobody does pole dancing fully clothed!!!

Sounds like the school kids haven't changed much from when i was catching the trains regularly. The trip into and from work was nice and peaceful, until about halfway to work when the little brats would jump on and start yelling and carrying on like they owned the place! The only thing i can suggest is get yourself an iPod and crank it up REALLY loud! As for lecturing them, kids don't tend to listen to their parents or teachers let alone some random guy on a train :?

Seems like everything is normal then. I actually have no problems with the yapping and such and quite enjoyed it. Beats a quiet train and let me know what bands are 'in' these days. It's only today that I was 'victimised' and so the remaining question is: why is it that exhibitionism only prevalent among the male member of the society :?

I am also aware that they, being kids and in groups, will always 'win' in any form of confrontation -- but obviously I was not too keen to be a sitting duck as well regardless of the futility the task. Looks like easier being a sore loser to a bunch of kids than a drunken redneck :x but what can you do?

Tell em if they don't shut the fuck up, your'll bend each one over and 'FUCK EM LIKE A DOG'.

Look pretty menacing whilst saying so, but be sure to jump off the train at the next stop before they inform the police they have been harrassed by a perv!

Mate I took public transport via train for a year when I first got here, the bloke who got on the train pissed as a rat then proceeded to slide down the wall with his back against it and SHIT himself was the last straw. 35c day in an enclosed carraige with 10 mins to the next stop  Lets just say that when we arrived at granville, a couple of tradies and myself assisted him with leaving the train, the dirty smelly carnt!

Why are people so unkind... ;)

No use giving them a lecture Andy... Best pull you phone camera out and email the pics to their school (and ya mates in KSRC  )

That's it, use the technology to your advantage. If you can video it even better, then show it to their principal and let him know you are thinking about taking it to the police to make a complaint and would like him to I.D. the students. If they are verbally abusing people in their school uniform they will most likely be suspended for it. Even if the principal is soft and doesn't suspend them, by following it up it will send the message for the students to pull their head in in future (or pick an easier target, which means they will at least leave you alone).
