[VIC] or [SYD] Anyone want a German Shepherd-cross puppydog?

I got the following email from a friend today. It was a forward of a forward, so I know nothing about the people who wrote the original email - it just broke my heart and if I could take the dog, I would - bloody apartments. If you are interested, please contact the number/name in the below message:

"Hey Guys,

Pete has found a dog in Melbourne that needs a home. “Wally” wandered onto the building site and when the owner was contacted, he said to just kill him cause he couldn’t be bothered with a pet anymore! We really don’t want to send him to the pound cause they will only give him three days before they have to put him down…. L

He is 2 years old and has a lovely nature, so friendly! He is listed as German Shepherd but as you can probably see from the pictures we think he has a bit of something else in him. He is currently in Melbourne but we can arrange bringing him to Sydney just before Christmas if needed. He is not desexed but comes with $200 towards the cost of desexing him or to cover other costs if need be.
