Some things just suck...

Fri Mar 16, 2007 6:09 pm

After all the drama's with my bike, i took it into work Friday and had fred the wonderman map it for me.. He said he updated and changed a few things, ride it and tell him how it goes..

Now to go back a step.. For about 2 and a half months I've had hip pain, tried not to worry about it.. got to point of having to do something when I could hardly walk, and sitting on the bike feels like my hip is being forced out of the socket... doc said he had no idea what was wrong, gave me script for xray and ultrasound, had xray, had to wait for ultrasound. I had to wait another week and a half to know what day I could swing around work to get in, I call and oh no they say, you can't have them more than a week apart on the same script. So back to the doc I go (diff one) she says oh you've just pulled the muscle, here take some drugs, have the ultrasound, come back and we'll cortisone you. But in the meantime, no bike and no exercise.

Today I have the ultrasound, I went to the wrong place first, but was only 5 min late to the proper one.. must have pissed them off cos I was there for nearly two hours! But they found a calcification in my hip which isn't supposed to be there, its aggravating the tendons in my leg and hip, so I have to go back to my doc who has to refer me to an orthopedic surgeon.

So no bike for me for god knows how long. It's finally good and I'm not..

Know what you mean Tanya. After drooling over the 10 for best part of 2 years, I finally get one, run it in and bugger my shoulder. 3 weeks already and I'm gagging for a ride, still waiting for surgery!

How they sort you quicker then the have with me

That's a real bugga mate. Really sorry to hear and yes your having a bad run so it can only get better, right :?:

Oh sweetie that must hurt.

Don't try the cortisone it's to hard to get off it. It surpesses the real aggrivated point of pain.

I hope it heals soon.

All the best Tanya, sucks to be immoble for what ever reason.

Make sure they get it right the first time, ya don't want to go thru the op and the physio just to have the prob crop up in 2 years time!

Sat Mar 17, 2007 8:40 pm

no good tan

all the best chick

Sat Mar 17, 2007 8:59 pm

That's a real bugger Tanya, but at least you now know what is going on and what has to be done for it. If you need anything give me a hoy. :)

Sat Mar 17, 2007 9:53 pm

Hope they get it sorted and corrected soon, that first ride back will seem so much sweeter!

Sat Mar 17, 2007 10:10 pm

The good news is they can probably fix it which is a good thing if your in pain hope ya got private health cover though or it could take forever.

There is a heap of volunteers waiting to test the rev limiter for you. :D

Thanks for the well wishes :)

Anne I was going to call you to help explain to me the medical terms that were in the letter with the films :) I ended up googling them, and found lots more complicated words to go with them :D

And no health insurance.. if it turns out I have to have an op, waiting forever might be a good thing as I simply don't have the money at the moment.
