Omnia Mini-Review

Postby aardvark » Sun Feb 08, 2009 10:07 pm

Well, I dropped the trusty old Nokia N73 and the bloody screen cracked. Could have bought a new screen as the rest of the phone still works, could have claimed it on contents insurance, but in the end I decided to just get a new phone.

After 10 years owning Nokias, I did some research and took the plunge and got myself a Samsung i900 Omnia. I actually wanted the HTC Touch HD but my hand was kind of forced a little due to aforementioned phone dropping.

Anyway, after using the phone for the last 3 days I've decided that I'm very, very happy with it!

I've installed a couple of apps, including Igo8 SatNav (which kills the TomTom I was running on the N73) and SPB Shell with SPB skins. For anyone with a WinMobile phone I strongly recommend SPB Shell.

Viewing KSRC on the phone sucks a big hairy one, but then that's to be expected on a 3.2" screen. :D

It's taken a while to get used to but so far it's been worth the effort.
