Tucked up in my warm and quiet little office.

Postby Strika » Tue Aug 01, 2006 6:37 pm

:D Well some of you may know that I recently moved che' Strika a Klm or so down the road, from charming Spotswood, to the more upmarket Newport (Foreshore side of course  ). Included in the move was a restructure of living arrangements. The new abode providing us with more room now. Almost to the point where we have as much room as we did in Perth....almost! A result of this, is a seperate office on the premises. It's only a two person bungalow really, but is all set up with ADSL and phone fax sockets etc. Previously apart from my office office in Brooklyn, my home office was really just the spare room, which made it difficult with kids, and other people in the house.

The new home office is right up the back of the property next to the all important shed, and is just joy joy happy joy. I have the Dimplex oil heater to maintain a nice cosy environment in winter, and an refrigerated aircon for the warmer weather (all four days of it  )

We have it completely set up with a duplicate of my work office, with wireless. I have a new bar fridge in here as well to keep thirst at bay (also handy as it's right next to the shed). The only thing I don't have in here is a TV. But I don't want one in here anyhoo.

I have put up my fav pics, and all it needs now for the finishing touch is some plastic dust collectors!

Man have I done well out of this move. I can now keep the two wheeled toy at home if i want to as I have a very secure deadbolted garage with a security alarm, and same with the house and office. So no more working out of the wharehouse at the office on a cold concrete floor during winter. Now I can bring it home, and spread it out in my shed with my warm rubber flooring, and my wooden workbench, and my tools all laid out neatly and accesibly!!! It's like a dream I tell ya's!!! I'm like a monkey with two penises!! I don't know what to do with myself

Even the dogs have upgraded facilities, with the kennel now no longer just sat out in the open, but rather in a shed too with an open door, well protected from wind and rain. Bloody luxury it is I tell ya!!!

Yeah yeah yeah, A party will be a definate, but not till summer. It's also got room in the shed to put a dart board up, the scoreboard and dartboard backing board are still there.
