KSRC Slogan - POLL

Gold Coast Kawa, will give 10% Discount on everything. They will buy some shirts for themselvies and hopefully the shop, gotta talk to them more on this. Im not to keen on asking for $$$ yet, as yoda said they might want to start inputting on the t-shirt design. And it might start gettin political, which is not what this site really needs.
And dont worry mizz zzr, as Dave has said, their not going to put the logo on the shirts, just small text. I put the logo up, cause i think Dave wants to put on the sponsers page.

Brighton Kawasaki in Melbourne
are happy to be one of the sponsors
who appears on the shirts...and on the site

deal is.....
varying discounts on everything
5% off the shop labour rate for servicing and repairs
5-10% off bits..
like tyres zorts huggers screens racks bags clothing helmets
some items like gloves or goggles may be up to 15%
most oils 10% specialized oils (eg brake fluid 5%)
bikes prices?..talk to Ken
He can't do anything much with Kawasaki OE spares

on the Tshirts
and a listing on the Web site (I have card to copy for this)

except you will have to contact Ken and identify yourself
and tell him you are a KSRC member
(a sticker on the bike or helmet will help!)

Ken did apologize that he does not have the range of product in stock
nor the buying power of a Peter Stevens shop
and there may be times when you can do better
but
try him 1st..thats all he asks
He can get just about anything within a day or 2
and will match (or beat if poss) most prices

hope Vic members are happy with that

1stly i like a lot of the ideas, and slogans, and wen we vote it should be cool..when jase gets back we'll see if Bills or boltons wanna get onboard for SA....also i think wen ur gettin ready to organise it, an u do a poll to see how many to order, have both singlet & t shirt option, as i reckon u prob got 5-10 singlets (id get 2 singlets i reckon) and the rest of u can have tshirts...no biggie really if we supply the shirt/singlet...
neway lets hope there ready by PI, be nice if we all had em...i also like the idea of a more "general" slogan, as i kno we're mainly kwakka boys, and yes most of u ride em, but we dont want to have say honda/spew/yamy riders thinkin were all knobs, we can encourage them to join under the "sportsbike" banner, and have a global hatred for harleys!!lol

bloody good idea Neka. We've verticaly challenged peeps like Bluefly, little blokes like myself and Corbywan and then like of Ronster and Mina. So general sizes will fit most, but some of us will struggle. I like those little gay looking size 16 kids shirts myself. (No I'm not Gay, unless you are ).

Dave, if you gave us a firm date to have them to you by, would this be a problem?

I'll talk to the t-shirt peeps and see what they can do. At the moment we have only priced the t's. Once this is all sorted, I'll get a list and see what we can do.
It looks like we're going with "I'm not Speeding, I'm qualifying" and having 3 east coast sponsors in small text on the bottom.
If anyone has a problem with that or wants no slogan, let me know as we may be able to blank it out on a few t's...

Dunno about price, Dave will find that out this week, but the straight KSRC logo on the chest embroided, is not a problem. Apparently it is easier than the screen printing. So sit tight, and details will follow.

and those who just want logo and sponsor message

Good point Yoda, a circa 1700's bike may not be able to back up the qualifying slogan. Hehehehehe

Isn't the point of a poll to determine a majority preference, on the understanding that, what ever the outcome, majority rules????????

Lots of us didn't get our first preference, but hey, thats the way it goes.
The fact that some of our ideas didn't poll well (or even make the short list) is an indication that the're not reflective of the club as a whole.

This really makes things difficult for Dave and whoever else is involved.

9 outta 30 votes (or 30%) picked the 'Speeding' slogan
which makes it hard for Dave..to enforce something when less
than a 1/3rd make a choice
which is why i suggested
the 2 lists..those in and those not....
2 choices are easier to handle than 30...
