My brother has bought some fairings for the 7 (thanks Tack!), and needs to get them from Melbourne to here in Brisbane. They are track fairings, so are one big bottom piece and one large top bit. No ductail, but a there is a screen. They are in a big box. Is anyone able to help out here? Anyone coming up this way with room to spare? Any other Ideas?
Thanks.
Revin - Is it still possible to get your dad or whoever to bring them up for us?

We have an account with TNT which we use for this sort of thing - if you give me the dimensions of the box, and the two post codes Ill quote you if you like...

I think Tack said they where about 900x900x600 and about 25kg`s Chris.
Hemi, its a tuff time at present, dad had a pretty big crash about 2 weeks ago,he is still a bit shaken up from it,company has him travelling Sydney-Brisbane,sorry but its probally easier to go with Chris thru TNT.

$350???
You need to be very acurate with the dimensions as you pay for what they call 'cubed weight' (which is the volume).
Also can you give me the Post code of the delivery point?

and good to see my old farings making it up there to you

they're some slutty, slutty ZX7R farings

yeah, sounds like standard shipping company practice to me
admittedly, TNT do seem to be about the worst. we had a customer go out of business because of them

Does not suprise me at all. My job in the company was to look for missing freight and if ya only knew how my bikes in cretes fell off trucks or how many of the new Chev motors where "lost". Was so bad as we where getting death threats at times and we just have to say I am sorry sir. Yeah righto.....

awlrighty, based on the size/weight given above, star trak should do it for $79.42 and you should get it within 2-3 days.

That's a great price, I am sure they cannot do worse than TNT

I know the cubed weight thing as I work in Floorcoverings so all our carpet, vinyl etc is big 3-4m long & tiles on palletts etc, but they still touched me on the front the nasty buggers!

Normally what happens is they charge on size unless the cubic weight is greater then the cubic size if that make sense... Cause if u send a box that is 30cm x 20cm x 10cm and weights 30kg that's more space they will need to use up cause can only carry certian amount of weight.... How ever they can get more money outta ya they will...
