I was going to suggest that who ever crashes out first each night should donate $10, that would make us $50 over the weekend. The only problem with that is Dan would still end up out of pocket...

Hey guys, as Rob said, he paid $5 to join Netrider.org.au.

This charge was brought in only recently, for exactly the same reason as you're trying to fix. Its a one off, once only fee, and hasn't affected new member numbers one bit.

Its covering the costs of running the site, producing and posting the membership cards and leaving some left over for other things, like their stall at the Melb bike expo and stuff.

I think its a great idea for all newbies, and I'm sure those of use who are already here using it, wouldn't mind coughing up a fiver either. I certainly wouldn't :)

Saves messing around with orgainising merchandise and fundraising events too. Sure they're great, but always a lot of work for the person organising.

Just my two cents...

I think a rider sweep at the GP
$2 per rider/pick 125/250/motogp
all riders names go in a hat
You pay $2 per rider you draw out of the hat
Half the $ goes to the person that pics the race winner
and half to the fundraiser

Bbbwwwwhhhhaaaa, hehehehe. Here I was thinking I had to pace myself this
year, but Dan's going on his own this year and won't have Sarah to keep
him under control. Victor the Predictor, predicts, one messy Dan. :-)
How much of the money will go to the club and not back into our slush
fund?

Sounds good... Looks like you've become the treasurer Mario...
For those not going to the GP, they can pick a name out at a ride or something...

Guys as well as the donations why dont we hold a junk auction on here. Stuff that you longer require for ur motorbike or old motorbike that other people might want.

it can be an ongoing thing and if we make too much we can have rides with lunch provided or something.

I'm sure a few people will have a few old things laying around. Even if people want to sell it and keep the money, they should pay for the advert on ksrc.

Eg. If some one sells a bike, why not swing $5-$10 to the site for helping him/her.

just a thought!!!!!!!!!

we could do it in every state!! an annual bbg, where we pick a house (most
of us SA boys meet at either our place ..well ussually here for the GP & we
have a feed & a beer, we could just chuck in say $5 per member per year
maybe ?? and if the diehards who post here put in, we'll b right?? or maybe
we could introduce a system where whoever posts the most has to pay!! or a
5c per post rule?? or a swear jar?lol
