Honda MPE Looking for Off-Road Race Team Technician
Description:
..Honda MPE is currently seeking applications for an Off-Road Race Team Technician to work with the No Fear Honda team at all supercross and motocross events in which the team will compete in 2006.
The Off Road Technician will provide development and technical support to team riders, and prepare and carry out effective repair, set-up and maintenance of race machinery. They will also load and transport equipment, attend race meetings and support contracted riders.
This position requires the individual to work on various days of the week, including many weekends as per the national championship racing calendar.
JOB SPECIFICATION
Formal Technical qualifications essential
Proven race craft and diagnosis skills, and ability to communicate with riders to offer options to improve their machinery’s performance.
The ability to work as part of a team, an ability to communicate effectively within the team, both verbally and in writing and the ability to perform Quality work at all times.
Ability to work with a minimum of supervision and follow through on tasks, with attention to detail.
Ability to perform basic computer keyboard functions in relation to maintaining data files and a willingness to learn and improve on these skills.
Clean working habits and positive attitude to safe working practices.
Motorcycle learner’s permit/license preferred and a good riding record.
Possess a current heavy endorsed licence, or a positive attitude towards obtaining it immediately, and a good driving record.

..Position Vacant for a motorcycle mechanic in a small Japanese bike shop in south west Sydney. Prefer experienced and licenced bike mechanic but sharp thinking experienced car mechanics are welcome to apply. Wages and hours negotiable.
